I graduated from U of M and its Law School. I married Pamela Colburn who also graduated from UM. We have been married 49years and have 2 UM graduate children, who live out of state with our 5 grandchildren. We are all true blue Michigan fans.

Both Pam and I manage to find time to travel, while still enjoying the rigors of full time employment. I stay busy with my law practice, specializing in health law and federal and state whistleblower cases. I am also involved with charitable boards and am an adjunct health law professor at UM Law School in Ann Arbor. Pam owns an insurance agency with her brother.

School Story:

I recently represented the whistleblower who brought down Farid Fata, Detroit's infamous "Cancer Doc or Dr. Evil" who diagnosed hundreds of patients with cancer who did not have the dreaded disease and over treated those that did with chemo for longer than appropriate or in excessive doses. Fata is now doing the equivalent of life (he is in his 50s and is serving a 45 year sentence) in federal prison and the whistleblower will receive a $1.7 million reward under the civil federal False Claims Act case we filed. We were recently featured in 2nd episode on www.cbs.com/Whistleblower series.

Thanks for thoughts and blessings to all of you. Actually, Harvey and I shared Great-grandparents--Aron and Sadie Aronovici (became Haron on Ellis Island or later) in Iasi, Romania. My grandfather and his two siblings, one of whom was Pearl (Harvey's Grand-mother who married Sam Jacobs) apparently (according to my son the researcher) hitch-hiked across Europe and eventually came to America. Harvey's mother Ann (or Anna/Annie) Jacobs married Morris Watnick. Small but connected world!!!

So sorry to see this. Charitable professional and excellent lawyer. Enjoyed visiting with them at the Gallery Restaurant when he and Ellen were running the William Booth Legal Aid Clinic, seeing them at Temple Israel where we worked together at the first SOS Homeless Shelter.

Don, we had a zoom Seder last night for 25 from LA to VA to NJ to PHL to here. Download Zoom, Pay the first upgrade, about $10-20 and send out invitations, can be video and audio or audio only. Worked great. Easy to set up. Just send invite as host with link etc. Happy Passover. Be safe!!
